How they met
Rebecca and Matt had been together long enough that the wedding felt like a natural next step rather than a dramatic one. That kind of ease carries through a day in a way you can see in the photos.
The day
January in Melbourne, a Friday: the kind of summer wedding day that starts warm and stays that way. Eight hours of coverage from getting ready through to the reception, with a ceremony video that captured the words they’d spent months getting right.
Rebecca was collected and calm in a way that made the getting-ready photos feel unhurried. Matt was ready early and spent the extra time standing near the door looking thoughtful.
The ceremony was exactly what they’d wanted: personal, short enough to respect the room, long enough to mean something. The reception picked up where it left off and ran well into the evening.
A moment from the day
“Looking back at the photos now, I can feel the day exactly as it was. That’s everything.” – Rebecca
