I'm Yas, a Melbourne-based wedding photographer with a soft spot for the smaller moments most cameras miss. My approach is candid, natural, and documentary. No stiff posing, no awkward setups. I've been doing this for 8 years, across 100+ weddings, and I'm still quietly obsessed with telling a day the way it actually felt.
Eight years of weddings,
and still learning.
I picked up my first camera in my early twenties, photographing friends, festivals, and the city I grew up in. Weddings came later (almost by accident) and I haven't really photographed anything else since.
What I love hasn't changed: a bride catching her own breath before walking down the aisle, a father trying not to cry during a speech, the half-hour of dancing where the floor finally feels loose. The job is to be there for those, ready, without making a fuss.
Today I work across Melbourne, the Yarra Valley, the Mornington Peninsula, and travel anywhere else couples want me to. I cap my year at a small, deliberate number of weddings so each one gets my full attention from first reply to final gallery.
