How they met
Ashleigh and James met on a share-house porch in Brunswick. Seven years, two dogs and one renovation later, they chose to marry where their love had always felt easiest: in a garden, surrounded by family.
The day
The ceremony was held among jacarandas at peak bloom. Ashleigh walked in to a string trio playing a song she and James had once slow-danced to in their kitchen at 2am. Half the guests were in tears before she reached the altar.
The rest of the afternoon unspooled slowly: long tables, home-cooked food, a brother-of-the-bride speech that set a new standard, and golden-hour portraits in a quiet corner of the garden before the music turned up.
“We wanted to feel like ourselves all day. We did.” – Ashleigh
